Welcome to the Sligo Leitrim Children and Young People's Participation Lab.

The Participation Lab is a collection of resources, tools and guidelines to assist and support engagement with children and young people in Sligo and Leitrim. All resources are guided by the Lundy Model of Participation and the Irish National Framework for Children and Young People’s Participation in Decision Making.

All elements of the Lab are independent and can be accessed individually but work together and should be used as a package.

Child & Youth Participation Self-Assessment Tool

An interactive online tool which allows individuals answer a number of questions in relation to Child and Youth Participation in their practice. A personalised report provides suggestions on ways to support and improve practice.

Sligo Leitrim CYPSC Local Participation Practice Guidelines

This resource explores the Lundy Model of Participation, its four quadrants and provides practical tools and activities to encourage participation and engagement with children and young people.

Providing supports and videos in relation to Child and Youth Participation including Taster Videos on the Sligo Leitrim Children and Young Peoples Participation Lab and its content by young people who delivered training on the Local Participation Practice Guidelines.
